Basic Radiation Skincare Collection: Soothing Balm + Cooler Roll

THE ORIGINAL RADIATION MUST-HAVES: The Cooler Roll is what people reach for when the treated area is hot and sore. The Soothing Balm is what keeps it from drying and splitting in between. This is the pairing most radiation patients end up with.

CUT IT TO FIT: The Cooler Roll is a 60" x 4" hydrogel wrap, mostly water, infused with aloe, green tea and vitamin E. Cut off what you need, peel the backing, lay it on for 20 to 45 minutes. No adhesive, nothing to rub in, nothing to wipe off.

AFTERWARDS, THE BALM: Rich without the grease — shea butter, avocado oil, olive oil and astaxanthin. Apply after your session, not before; many radiation teams ask that nothing be on the skin for a few hours beforehand. Both created by oncologists and dermatologists.

1. Soothing Balm: massage into hands, feet, elbows, knees and any rough or cracked patches. For hands and feet, apply a thicker layer before bed.

2. Cooler Roll: drain the bag, cut a piece to fit, peel off the backing and lay it on the treated area for 20 to 45 minutes. Discard the used piece, reseal the rest and keep it in the refrigerator. Never freeze it.

Apply everything after your radiation session, not before. Many radiation teams ask that nothing be on the skin for a few hours beforehand.

Does the Cooler Roll stick to my skin? NO. There is no adhesive. It rests in place while you lie down & sticks only via the natural adhesion of water – much like a wet paper towel would cling.
